Cantamus Community Choir
The
choir was formed at St. Margaret's Church, Thorpe Market in
1998, initially simply to sing Stainer: "The "Crucifixion" on Good
Friday. We have a demountable staging system which allows 40+ singers
to perform in tiered ranks in the Chancel, although current membership
is in excess of that number. The choir meets on Thursday evenings from
7.30 - 9.30 p.m. in the autumn and spring and we currently rehearse in
the Methodist Church, Grammar School Road, North Walsham.
Choir evenings are friendly, informal, and no audition is required!
Whilst we have a few experienced singers, many of our current
membership have little previous choral experience - so do come and give
it a try! All music copies are provided and we always have a "tea
break".
